These no frills hair salons offer professional and fast service. They charge S$10.00 for a 10 minutes haircut and there is no surcharge if they exceed the time.

How does it work?

A customer inserts S$10.00 in a vending machine and collects a ticket number. When it is his turn, he goes to the hairdresser who will ask him to put his bag in a closet. When the hair cut is done, the hairdresser uses a vacuum tube to clear the hair from his shoulders and neck.

The hairdresser uses a new comb and towel paper for each customer and sterilises his equipment for the next customer. The customer receives the comb as a gift.

These express hair cut salons are usually located in shopping centres and near mrt. They are especially popular with men and people who have limited time.
